m3i is, in many ways, the culmination of all our previous solutions adapted for a 21st Century connected world. While evaluating the (then) nascent embedded environments a few years ago with a view to starting the m3i project, we looked at the available offerings and decided to use Ricoh's SDK/J which was in beta at the time. This was done for a number of technical and strategic reasons, not the least of which was our pre-existing relationship on previous products.

The man machine mobile interconnect was designed from the outset to be platform and network agnostic and will translate well in the future into other sectors where the detail is different but the problem is the same: man and machine needing a way to work together harmoniously. For now, in the Office Equipment industry, selectec has chosen Ricoh as its strategic partner.
