The public focus of our work in the last year or so has been Accessibility in the form of the Access Module. This has been driven by marketing, strategic and historical reasons but it's time to let the cat out of the bag and admit it's so much more.

Platforms, are a victim of their flexibility in that its difficult to succinctly convey your offering. You can't really because you are not selling an easy to understand (or easily pigeon holed) thing. So even though we have always had our eye on the broader platfrom offering, we have had to be a little stealthy by keeping it palatable to our target audience. Architecturally the components that make m3i Access Module work have always been modular but that wasn’t really important to talk about until we broadened the modules and expanded the possibilities. Now that we are well into Chameleon, MyVoice and the other connectors and services it is time to start changing the message.

So yes, we admit we are building an extremely flexible platform based upon Ricoh's SDK/J. We have called it man machine mobile interconnect or m3i for short. The name hints at our greater aspirations which I will expand upon at a more appropriate time. So our browser UI is now called m3i Access Module allowing room for other browser-based UIs.

We will be rebranding and repositioning over coming weeks as we get the new site up and running. Come back and see where all the pieces fit.
